I am Nguyen Mai Kim Son (a.k.a KimZon).

 

My main approach to art has always came from the urge to dissect the surroundings through my own twisted lens. The exploration of my style started through Dark-Surrealism, which naturally evolved to Pop-Surrealism. Recently though, I am experimenting with a minimal approach to Surrealism as an attempt to breathe new life into my inner world. Subjects that tend to pique my interest are the intricate and hidden layers and ripples of a story, depicted through the use of contrasted imageries and color choices. The purpose of my imageries isn’t to channel negative energies, but more so for the audience who feels alone to find a sense of unity, relativity and to be able to find comfort in my art.

 

Although the Horror art genre is my forte, I am confident in my skills to improvise and be flexible when it comes to creating outside of my comfort zone.
